A path leads down to the picturesque lake where you can enjoy a picnic whilst bird watching or otter spotting! Or try your hand at coarse fishing for Roach and Carp. The path goes all the way around the lake and it is fully enclosed for dogs.
Surrounded by open countryside, yet only minutes from the coastal village of Little Haven where you can join the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and the beautiful, long sandy beach at Broad Haven. A trip to the islands from Martin's Haven is a must.

Herondale is off a B-road. There is ample parking for three to four cars directly outside the front door on the gravelled car park. Enter front door over 3” step into hallway. To right is the large kitchen/diner and on through to the utility room with washing machine, tumble drier and oil boiler. The boiler can be programmed to suit guests needs. There is a separate wc and whb and the back door leads out to the lawn. To the left of the front door is the lounge with open fire, 42” flat screen TV and DVD player, both operated by remote control. A glazed sliding door leads out onto the patio with picnic table and large lawn. From the hallway, the stairs with half landing, leads to the three bedrooms. Two twin bedded rooms with whbs and a double room with ensuite shower/whb/wc. There is a separate bathroom with double width shower cubicle, bath, wc, bidet and whb. One twin bedroom has a velux window with blackout blind. The cottage is well-lit throughout with both natural and electric light and all doors are standard width. From the lawn there is a hand gate leading to a fairly steep narrow path to the lake. Guests are welcome to walk around the far side of the lake or to try their hand at carp fishing. Lake is not fenced, so children must be supervised at all times. There is mobile signal including WiFi.
This is our second visit. We love the house, very homely and comfortable. Lots of beaches and beautiful scenery. Had a great week, can't wait to come back. Thank you!

Our 3rd visit to Herondale - again so peaceful. Used chefs on run, pure luxury, food cooked here for when we arrived. Thousand island cruise and fireworks at Oakwood. Good times.

A good relaxing week, comfortable cottage. Good trips to Tenby, Pembroke Castle, Bosherstons Lily ponds and especially to Skomer, well worth the time. Puffins really exceptional.

Our first visit to Herondale and we found the cottage to be very comfortable with pleasant views across the lake. We had a wonderful blackberry and apple desert with fruit from around the lake, We shal no doubt make every effort to come back again next year.

We had a lovely week . The lake was delighful. we enjoyed the coastal walks, and beaches, Found the Puffin shuttle bus very useful and good value. Puffins on Skomer are great. Saw pipistelle bats flying at the lake sadly didnt hear any horseshoe bats so sadly will have to come back!
We love coming to this cottage, it is always well maintained and has a lovely welcome pack to make tea, Our son loves it as it is so quiet and he can have a good run around the garden
We saw plenty of rabbits, foxes and magpies in the garden. We also enjoyed the gorgeous and lush landscape during our many walks.Our baby slept soundly in the cot provided. An excellent holiday
